Private Equity and Venture Capital Panel
Happy Sunday MiddDIB!
We hope everyone had a great spring break and is ready for the last months of the school year!
MiddDIB is excited to be co-hosting our second panel of the semester this upcoming Tuesday together with the CCI! Everyone is invited to meet Middlebury Alumni who work on the Buy-Side of the Financial Services industry within Private Equity and Venture Capital.
Our members will be able to hear from our moderator John Rudge '92 (Partner at Lexington Partners) and panelists Krystina Reynolds '17 (Associate at KKR), Meg Knox '19 (Ventures Associate at Redesign Health), Livia Reuss '19 (Technology Investor at TA Associates), and Henry Cutting '19 (Private Equity Associate at Veritas Capital) who will be discussing this exciting career path.
Additionally, here are some resources to learn more about the Buy-Side of the Financial Services industry as well as Private Equity (PE) and Venture Capital (VC). If you have any questions feel free to reach out!
What is Buy-Side vs Sell-Side
Private equity firms buy companies and revamp them to earn a profit when the business is sold again.
Venture capital funds buy minority equity stakes in early-stage companies with strong growth potential and provide them with financial support and business expertise to help them grow and succeed.
